For A Quick And Easy Move

For A Quick And Easy Move

By:

All pieces of furniture are in place, all services (phone, internet, cable TV) are established and you have homeowners insurance right in the bag. In a perfect world this would be the case. In the real world, moving houses is clearly not an overnight thing. It may be easy to find a local mover in Puget Sound or hire a moving company in King County to better transport your whole life, so to speak. The hard part lies in packing virtually your entire life into boxes and packages of sorts before any of the moving companies in Pierce County can ferry you off to your brand new home, into life anew.

Come up with a sound timeline to make your move quick and easy as can be. With moving timeline on hand, youre sure to have a trucking company in King County moving all your belongings in no time.

Up For Sale

Start supplies shopping once your house is out on the market. First on your shopping list: boxes. While youre out, dont forget to grab a few more necessary packing materials: tape, plastic bags, wrapping papers, markers and labels.
Clean all the rooms and as in makeover shows, come up with keepers, donations and trash piles for your belongings for easier packing later on.

Its A Date

Moving date has been set so now take a pick from any of the efficient local movers in Snohomish County. After getting a list of services and corresponding price quotes its best to make reservations
Hire movers as soon as you have a specific moving date to make sure that you wont be lugging all your things on your own come big move day.

One More Month

Contact your maintenance people to inform them of the move so they can do necessary cancellations.
You can help out the new owners of your house by referring to them good supers, gardeners and pool cleaners. If youre leaving appliances behind for the new owners to make use of, dont forget to also leave them with reference manuals to be placed in an easy-to-spot drawer or cabinet in the house.

In Two Weeks Time

Cancel all utilities or services such as telephone, internet and cable TV or do the necessary turnovers (to the new owners account/s). Have the same services established in your new home.
File a change of address at the post office and do other notifications for creditors, subscriptions and other people who might need to know your new address.
Pack all your essentials into a box or two so youll have a fresh change of clothes, toiletries, sheets and blankets when you get to the new home.
Place important documents in an envelope certificates, passports, bank accounts among others.

On your last week, do a last run-through to check for things that may have been left unpacked. Dont forget to relax a bit before you take off on the big moving day.
