Telomere is present in keratinocytes and the immortal germ cells and is the molecular clock that prevents cancer and aids in cell division and anti aging process.

Food items that cause aging and cell degeneration in the long run when taken excessively include foods with high level of carbohydrates, homogenized milk and cheese, Caffeine in coffee, chocolate and cola, white flour, foods cooked in microwave, fluoride chemical, artificial sweeteners like aspartame, alcohol, processed foods, artificial colorings, additives, monosodium glutamate, preserved meat, pork, margarine, olestra, hydrogenated oils, deep fried foods, chips, excess of soy products as in soy sauce, tofu, oysters (sea foods like oysters eat waste and toxins, which when taken by humans is harmful), mercury-rich sea foods like the tuna fish, usage of aluminum cookware and highly genetically modified foods.

Similarly there are foods that can naturally heal the damages and degenerations occurring in the body swiftly and without side effect unlike certain anti aging therapies like gene therapies or skin creams for preventing aging.

Green vegetables like broccoli, spinach and lettuce are a great boon to vegetarians as they aid in detox. The phyto vitamins and minerals have anti cancer and anti aging effects. Avocado is rich in vitamin E. Vitamin A and E are very important in order to maintain a smooth, glowing soft, healthy skin. Raw garlic helps in blood thinning, reduce cholesterol and prevent the degeneration of cells. Water melons and avocado have an alkalizing effect and prevent aging. White rice pastas have to be replaced with brown rice or wheat pasta as carbohydrates in excess leads to obesity, diabetes and aging. Ginger helps in the proper maintenance of digestive system. Nuts like Brazil nuts, almonds, cashew can provide us with lot of energy and make us enthusiastic and feel fresh.
