Food Grade Grease For Food Service And Pharmaceutical Industry

Food grade grease fall under the category of lubricants that go a long way to enhance the performance of machines in food service and pharmaceutical industry. Selecting your Grease/Lubricant

Before going ahead in ordering food grade grease for your need, it is necessary that you consider certain factors. Make sure that the grease/lubricant formulation is in compliance with CFR, Title 21, Section 178.3570 and meets the requirements for an NSF H1 (formerly USDA H1) lubricant where there is possibility of incidental food contact. Another important factor to take a note of is, make sure that you use the proper grade and type of food grade lubricant as recommended by original equipment manufacturer. Failure to do so may lead to short bearing life and/or a risk of other unwarranted accidents.

Applying the Grease

Food grade grease are being used extensively in many food processing and beverage units as they are water resistance, provide lasting lubrication and protect extensively against corrosion. The food grade lubricant is usually applied by automatic lubrication systems fitted to many types of food processing equipment. You can also apply them manually or by using a standard grease gun or via a central lubricating system.
