Driving to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe or Livingstone in Zambia from South Africa is a long trip. With the cost of fuel and the head-aches involved with organizing a carnet de passage, along with all the documentation needed for travelling through border posts, it is definitely worthwhile looking at flights!

Major airlines like British Airways and SAA has the most one stop flights between Victoria Falls, ZW and Livingstone, ZM. To find reasonable rates for flights, it is a good idea to compare prices online for your required dates. A helpful tip is that flights during the week are normally less expensive than flights on Fridays, as this is when the demand goes up. You can choose between economy, first class and business class options which will of course affect the ticket prices. Victoria Falls Airport is about 20 minutes drive from Victoria Falls Town, and Livingstone Airport is about a 20 minute drive from the Falls.

Prices from Johannesburg to Victoria Falls vary for BA and SAA from R2600 R5600 return, depending on the dates, for Economy class tickets. With BA, flights from Cape Town to Victoria Falls have a stop in Johannesburg, and prices are roughly R3900 for a return ticket, in Economy class. SAA's flights are about R4300, with a stopover in Johannesburg too (also economy class).
