Fix Registry Errors - Can I Stop Annoying Error Messages From Popping Up On My Screen?

By:

Error messages pop up on a computer's screen in order to let the computer user know the operating system can't find a particular file or files. In the early days of computing, files would be missing because a program installation did not go smoothly, or media, such as a hard drive, was not retaining information effectively.

Usually, the remedy to the situation in either case was to reinstall the program that was being used when these error messages popped up on the screen. Though it was very common for installations to go bad years ago it is not common today. Also, the hard drives of years ago and the floppy disks that ran our computers before hard drives used to, lost data commonly. In other words, some of the information stored on the magnetic media would get lost without anyone doing anything wrong in any way.

A Re-install

So, reinstalling this lost data was the only solution and the only way to restore it was to reinstall the program or in some cases the operating system. Bear in mind, reinstalling an operating system over an existing operating system usually doesn't get the desired results. So in order to reinstall an operating system, the hard drive must be formatted first. Of course, formatting the hard drive erases everything!

You can easily see how error messages used to mean real big trouble for your computer back in these days of yore. However these days, hard drives generally don't just lose data the way they used to. In today's computing world when we see an error message it is usually an indication our operating system's registry has corrupt files. There are many reasons why an operating system registry would become corrupt, but instead of going into that, let's just say it happens commonly.

Where did That File Go?

Error messages still give the same indications they used to. However, nowadays the e messages telling us a certain file cannot be found and the reason it cannot be found is because there is no proper registry entry to lead the operating system to this file. The difference is, years ago this file was truly missing. Now, it is just a matter of the operating system not knowing where to look for the file.

So, instead of doing a reformat or reinstall of an operating system or program, what is really needed to get rid of error messages is a cleaning of the registry. The way to do this is to simply use a registry cleaner and let this piece of software do the work for you. In my opinion, if you have a computer that is popping error messages actually the first thing you should do is run a registry cleaner. Sure, it may end up that you do need to reinstall the program, but most often that will not be true.
