If you are looking at places to go and see some fantastic natural wildlife then one of the best trips to book is a safari. This South Africa travel advice is centered round five of the best game reserves to have your vacation. There is an abundance of animals on each one of them and all have the Big Five.

The five is a list of animals which hunters declared were the hardest to hunt on foot. These are some of the most majestic animals you will come across and include lions, rhinos, buffalo, elephants and leopards. On every park listed below these animals roam and make their home, so you have a high chance of seeing them for yourselves.

Pilanesberg National Park is situated on the North West Province and is close to Sun City. Here you can find all of the big five and enjoy the majestic beauty of South Africa. You can also see many of the zebra, giraffes and crocodiles. In fact almost all of the animals you might expect to see on safari can be found here. The roads are a little bumpy but they are useable and there are various types of accommodation including chalets, tents and hotels.

One of the oldest reserves found in South Africa are the Umfolozi and Hluhluwe Game reserves. They are absolutely amazing parks and have been conservation areas since 1895. There is excellent accommodation and a great restaurant to keep you well fed and ready for the trip around the park. You stand a good chance of seeing all of the popular five and many other wildlife too.

If you will be looking to stay in Cape Town then you might like the idea of visiting a nearby reserve which is not too far away. Sanbona is less than a four hours drive away. It is malaria free and along with elephants, leopards, rhinos and buffalo you can also see white lions. The pack is the only self-sustaining white lions in the whole world.

If you want a wide range of organized activities then Blaauwboasch Lodge could be the answer. You can take advantage of the trips and get a chance to watch cheetah stalk its prey which is an amazing experience. Again all the animals are found here on the Big five list, and many others too. The rangers are well experienced and can increase your chances of seeing all the best safari wildlife.

If you would like an upscale vacation which combines the safari along with spa treatments then Kariega could be the best place for you to visit. Trips to see the animals are organized in open top jeeps and even on boats along the Bushman or Kariega rivers.

Shamwari offers an authentic big five experience and is located in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. The area is malaria free and has won many awards including the Worlds leading Conservation Company and game reserve many years in a row. There are lots of amazing private parks who can offer you a genuine experience when you take your trip of a life time. The settings are amazing and the animals will thrill and excite you as you have the chance to watch them in their natural habitat.
