How did this dream get started? It started on a quiet evening in 1988. A group of people drove a car through Dr. Piazza's neighborhood, firing bullets as they drove by. Dr. Piazza recalls this, remembering the realization that he came to. "Although I owned firearms and shot them regularly at the range, I was never taught the skills required to use a gun when it is needed mostto defend one's life." He realized that just because someone owns a gun and can hit targets at the shooting range if he or she has time to point, aim and fire, it does not mean that that same person would know how to use that gun in self defense. As much as we wish they did, attackers do not sit patiently and wait while you fumble for your firearm. They do not stand still while you get into the correct stance and aim at their forehead. When it comes to self defense, you need to act now, because ten seconds from now could be too late.

Dr. Piazza wanted to create a place where people could get top of the line firearms training. After taking his course, students admit that even one and a half seconds is more than enough time to draw a firearm from a concealed holster, aim, and shoot - hitting the target.
