If you have ever started a fire and someone tells you that you smell bad, they usually mean you smell like sulfur. If there is, move it away so this item does not catch on fire. As accidents do happen to good people, just be extra careful when doing any burning no matter what it is that you are trying to get rid of. Even use extra measures when cooking over an open fire as a lot of severe burns can come from these types of fires.

An arsonist sometimes does not care if anyone is in a building. In many cases they could be paid to do the job. This type of fire has to be a surprise, so this is a good reason to have some kind of warning. If you know about the fire because of your smoke detector, you will have a better chance of getting out of the building. In these types of fires, you will need to take the closest way to get out of the building even if you have to try to go through the flames. This is not the best way to go, but sometimes you do not have a choice but to go through the flames.

If you have to go through the flames, you will need to find something to put over your head to protect yourself with. It would be better if the item you use is wet. This will help in allowing you to be able to breathe easier and not burn so easily. Try to crawl on all fours, but do not put your face too close to the carpet, which is probably already full of smoke. This smoke can be worse on you in some ways than the fire. This smoke will make you have a lot of trouble breathing and will cause you to faint. If this happens, you will not likely make it out of the building.
