When fire comes in contact with the skin it can damage many layers of it. You have many layers of skin and then there is muscle, if the the fire damages all the layers and gets to the muscle, it can cause even more problems. Just the heat from the fire can do damage to your cells, nerves, skin, and more. The can be almost as damaging as the fire is and it is as dangerous to you as the flames themselves. But even heat from things besides fires can burn you like space heaters, a furnaces grate, curling irons, an electric stove burner, even a blow dryer when it gets too hot and too close to the skin.

It can still cause you to get degree of burns on your skin and they can be bad even if your skin is touched for only a second. You can get blisters, your skin an turn white, your skin can come off, and it can burn you all the way to the bone. Make sure your kids know not to tough things that are hot so they will not get hurt. You can get burned badly by the burners on a stove whether they are gas or electric. What you cook, a lighter, boiling water, and so many more things can cause burns.

The damages can very from the degree of burns. The first layer of skin is not bad, that can heal fast and not damage your skin and this is called first degree burns. Your skin will burn, turn red, and it can be sore, but nothing else. If the second layer gets burned and you blister, that is called second degree burns. Those burns can take days to heal and it may or may not leave you with a scar. But if you get any other degree of burns, they will be much worse and the damage will likely leave your scarred and in terrible pain.

Fire can burn your muscles and it can get all the way to the bone and char it. It can cause you to bleed a lot and you can die from it if it is bad. Serious burns can cause deaths if the burns are deep and the burns are in big areas. The scar that it can leave on your body can be rough and can be very visible. Some burns can take a long time to heal and sometimes the wounds may not heal right. If you have a serious burn you need to go see the doctor and get it treated.
