Different countries have various traditions and the way they celebrate life, as well as other important occasions differ on their religion, culture and belief. In some countries, they celebrate the days wherein winter would end, and the heat of summer would crazily wave into everybody elses faces. For Finnish individuals, they celebrate it with various Finland Vappu events and activities.

As mentioned earlier, Finland Vappu is being done as they bid goodbye to winter, and say hello to the sunshine of summer. Turkey is also another country that celebrates for the same reason the manner they do the celebration may differ in small ways, but of course, the thought and the reason for celebration is still there. Why is Finland Vappu so important for everyone?

First and foremost, winter is a season wherein people are restricted to go out and visit places because of the extreme weather conditions. Although there are times that it is extremely safe to go outside, we cannot still avoid incidents wherein the roads are slippery, activities are restricted, and people cannot enjoy the season because of the cold weather. For fishermen and for farmers, this is also the most hated season, since they dont have any means of making a living, as they have to wait for winter to end before they can go on and make a living with their crops and plants. To make everything easier to understand, Finland Vappu is simply a celebration that enables everyone to get out from the dark and cold days they have been experiencing for the last couple of months, and start seeing the light, as they come out of their shell and start exploring the world once more. Summer is one of those seasons wherein you can do a lot of activities with your friends, not to mention one of the best days to enjoy the beach and start going on a vacation with family, friends and loved ones.

For students, Finland Vappu also marks one of the best days of their life they have celebrations for giving thanks to the Almighty for helping them pass their classes, and let them step forward and as they explore life. Graduation is the most anticipated event of most students, and this happens in between winter and summer a relief from students, and the time wherein theyll learn to explore the world on their own, and start painting their own picture of life.

Usually, Finland Vappu is a celebration that starts with a procession. This is their own way of expressing their gratitude for the previous winter season, and welcoming summer as they hope for better things that await their lives during this specific season. At the end of the day, youll be able to see people along the roads celebrating with each and every individual that they meet, and even prepare foods that serves as a thanksgiving for all the blessings they have received a thanksgiving for letting them get out of the dark and start going on with a life full of light.
