FHTM, Fortune Hi-Tech Marketing, was launched by Paul Orberson in January of 2001. Their head offices can be found in Lexington, Kentucky, and their sales exceed $500 million annually.
FHTM promotes its services and products utilizing a multi-level marketing design. This is a company that has been 100% debt free since its beginning. The company operates in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and the United Kingdom
FHTM has a unique modle in that it utilizes products and services already being used by many consumers already without the need to remake them. They have developed a process in which their distributors make profits for referring new clients to roughly 20 or so various partner companies.
Founder, Paul Orberson, became a millionaire in the network marketing industry while working as a distributor for Excel Communications. Distributors of Excel earned profits by getting customers to change out their existing telephone service for Excel. FHTM uses this same concept.
Products and Services
FHTM offers services like home telephone, cell phone, travel and auto clubs, hi-speed internet and home security systems. There are companies like T-Mobile, Alltel Wireless, Sprint, Verizon Wireless and Dish Network. They also have a nutritional supplements line, pet supplements line, and beauty line that they earn commissions on. Not to mention a travel portal where one can receive travel discounts.
FHTM's Compensation Plan
A distributor receives a $100 dollar bonus for every distributor they bring into the business, as well as other overrides and bonuses as you move up the company ranks. Distributors also earn residual income on reoccurring purchases, making 2-20% depending on the product. The plan does have a stair-step breakaway. This means that your best distributors will break away from your organization and you will need to be bringing more reps into the business to allow for attrition.

Fortune has been around since 2001, making it a very well established network marketing company. With Paul Orberson's proven leadership in the network marketing industry, the company does have a valuable resource with him. The products and services offered through the company have millions of customers and are in demand.
The negative side: . Although in high demand, many consumers already have phone plans and TV services in place, many with long-term contracts, which makes the idea of switching to a new service less attractive at times. Although, there appears to be a significance on training, many existing representatives have had to reach out to other places for additional training. FHTM seems to only put emphasis on marketing methods of the past. These methods are essential in building a network marketing business; however, in the age of the Internet, many see the possibility it can bring to a home business. And many FHTM representatives have been searching out other means of training to get the necessary tools and skills needed for this approach.
Is FHTM a Scam?
FHTM isn't a scam. It is a mlm, a multi-level marketing business.. It is wise to due your do dilligence before getting into one of these companies. There are some good and some not so good. Make sure they have a good strong leadership, a good track record, and a solid product that you can back. These companies are often thought of as scams; however, most are not. Some individuals get a get-rich-quick idea about them, which is far from true. However, it is a plan that with some hard work, you can become wealthy over a short time period -- or shorter than one would normally think as far as the corporate world goes. There isn't any magic, it takes motivation, determination and hard work. Multi-level marketing companies are a vehicle you can use to create wealth, but you will still have to work hard.
