The National Labor Relations Board recently made mandatory that each American establishment have federal labor law posters on their offices. With private employers given until up to January 2012 to post the new poster, it remains yet to be seen whether it will create a huge impact on the lives of employees everywhere.

These Labor Law posters are modified safety posters to give employees and their contractor proper guidance and education about all matters concerning Labor Laws. This is including Minimum Wage, Sick Leaves, Employee Discrimination, Job Safety and Health, Employee Ordinances, and position Requirements. The NLRB hopes to reinforce the quality of employment that each company is getting.

Another benefit of these posters is that they give employees an overview of their rights and the conduct expected of them in the workplace. In the important section concerning Job Safety and Health, they are warned against working in places with a high level of occupational hazards and they shouldnt be demoralized to point this out to their managers. Employers, in turn, are expected to give their employees full constitutional benefits as stated in the Labor Law, in addition to providing workers a safe and work-conducive space.

Obedience and compliance with these regulations are of great importance because its a huge part of work efficiency. Without these posters, work could be incompetent and could result to a less-than-rosy relationship between the employer and employee. Given these Labor Law Posters, employees will be given notices of their rights and regulations.

The US Department of Labor adapted these posters to each states rulings concerning labor so nothing will be lost in translation. In the same vein, these safety posters are available bilingually to states that have Hispanic populations. There is no statute requiring establishments to post bilingual posters but they have the option to do so.

With the huge role employees play in the US Economy, they must be guaranteed a full wage and benefits including health, transportation and sick leaves. Employee discrimination is another topic that is fast becoming a huge topic in todays circles; the Labor Law Posters tackle these topics in a clear and direct manner for peoples knowledge.

The Federal Labor Laws encompass several categories and may be quite complicated for the ordinary person to read. Because of these posters, the basic laws are made uncomplicated and quite accessible for workers across the country.
