Fat Loss Made Easier! Do You Need To Lose Weight? Try This Plan!

By:

Fighting fat is the hardest thing I have ever done. I quit smoking two packs of cigarettes "cold turkey." I simply threw them out the car window and never smoked another one! Of course, I was a "bear " to live with for months. My kids hated me, my mom would not even speak to me, and I hated myself!

I ended up just replacing the cigarettes with food! Now what good is that? I ate and ate and ate myself into an additional 80 pounds. Dieting, fat loss, and losing weight were the last things on my mind. I just needed a fix! All I did was trade one vice for another. I kept thinking I could lose the weight when I got over cigarettes.

Well, let me tell you "it does not work like that!" It is not easy to lose the weight! It is even harder to stick with a fat loss plan. If you have been overweight for years like I have, then you know what I am talking about! All that fast food is really appealing. It tastes great! After a long day at work it is even more appealing to not have to do the cooking!

Well, needless to say, ever since I quit smoking I have been on some weight loss, fat loss, or no eating plan! None of which have worked!

I got really sick and tired of trying to follow a diet. It was easier to just eat the nachos and top them off with fried ice cream! You know food is a great comforter. I ate my way through tons of wonderful food. I ate everything I liked and I always had dessert. I never once missed those cigarettes!

Then one day reality hit me. I had to start buying clothes at plus size stores! I had been thin my entire life and now I would not even look in the mirror. I was fat. Now that was a rude awakening! In the midst of all this my mom lost her leg to diabetes. Even though my mom is very thin, she did not eat right and diabetes runs in her family! She had a double whammy against her.

I started studying diabetes and my findings terrified me. I discovered I was headed straight for diabetes! The odds were against me and I did not want to end up without a leg or with heart disease, or kidney failure or any other devastating disease caused by diabetes. I realized I had to find a fat loss program I could live with and, better yet, a plan I could follow and save myself.

Of course, I was like everyone else. I wanted to wake up the next morning without any fat on my body! I thought it would be a fast process and was greatly disappointed to discover the weight comes off very slowly. Fat loss is even slower than weight loss!

I started eating low glycemic index foods which is what dieticians recommend for diabetics. Do you know I lost 56 pounds in six months? Several of my friends and I started meeting once a week. We weighed in, checked our fat loss on one of those scales that will measure % of body fat, made lists of which foods we should eat, exchanged recipes and lost weight together!

We lost weight slowly. We ate healthy foods. We changed old eating habits. We loved, laughed, discussed politics, people, and lost weight together! We could never have made it without each other. Here is our recipe for losing weight. I hope it helps you:

1. Form a circle of friends. Meet often. Stress weight loss and fat loss.

2. Start your day with protein. Protein shakes, peanut butter, or a scrambled egg will work. Protein fills you up and stays with you longer. You can make it to lunch!

3. Eat lots of vegetables. Steamer bags full of vegetables are great, easy to take to work, and easy to prepare. Salads are also good, just put salad dressing on side.

4. Eat lots of chicken.
You can bake it, broil it, boil it or grill it. Do not even think about frying it!

5. Use virgin olive oil.

6. Stop drinking sodas.
All they do is add calories and sugar or both. Plus diet drinks are really bad for you.

Basically you have the list my friends and I followed and we all lost weight. It is a great feeling for your clothes to fall off you! (as long as no one is around.)
