I remember one day back when I was still living at my parents house, I was standing in the coat room with my big brother when he picked up a pair of my Nike, black Air Force One high tops. He looked at them quizzically and asked if they were mine. Of course they were, who else's would they be? 'You're like Madonna' he said 'you've got so many different looks'. Many of us are blessed with the Madonna effect. We can be pretty and dainty in white lace dresses with flowers in our hair one day, and edgy with dark black eyeliner and a studded bomber jacket the next. It's nothing to shy away from, if anything it should be embraced. People who love fashion tend to like it for all of its styles, trends and looks. Some tricks to sporting a few different looks, include:

Confidence:

Confidence is the answer to almost everything. No matter what you're wearing if you wear it with confidence you will get the attention you want and feel as special as you are. You don't need to have pioneered a fashion trend to wear it. It might be your first time owning a pair of 8-hole Dr. Martin's and that's okay. Put them on, pair them with a great outfit and go out and do your thing with a smile on your face.

Body Awareness:

You might like a lot of different looks but that doesn't mean those looks like you! One has to be realistic about what looks good on them and what they can pull off. For instance, a lot of women jumped for joy when leggings and long, flowy tops were in style - comfort at last! But rounder women have a hard time pulling off these items, they'd be better off showing off their curves with more form fitting clothing. It's always a good idea to take inspiration from celebrities who's style you like and who have similar frames to your own.

Mixing and Matching:

Sporting a style doesn't mean that you have to do it from head to toe. As with anything in fashion, it's good to take bits and pieces and incorporate them into a look that is very you. For instance, if you're going for something punk you might pair red jeans or shorts with high motorcycle boots, a white t-shirt and a leather biker jacket. Slick back your hair and wear big jewellery. If you're going for boho chic you might pair your linen trousers with a dress-shirt, cufflinks and a nice pair of leather shoes.

There is no limit to what you can do with fashion. It's open and available for you to enjoy in whichever way you like.
