Faith Divides Then Defines Your Life

What separates the Christian experience from that of a Muslim? Hindu? Jehovah Witness? Mormon? Jew? Buddhist? New Ager? Or any other religion?

Religions remain viable for the mere fact that the author of all those religions (Satan) has set them up to mirror the truth he saw in heaven:

Christianity believes in God; religion believes in a god.
Christianity prays and worships to God; religion prays and worships to a god.
Christianity evangelizes and works for, and on behalf of, God; religion evangelizes and works for, and on behalf of, a god.
Christianity follows a core set of teachings written and inspired by God; religion follows a core set of teachings written and inspired by a god.
Christianity places faith in Jesus as the only way to God; religion places faith in...
And that's where the line is drawn.

Jesus.

What separates Christianity from everything else is a one word answer.

Faith in Jesus is Christianity's great differentiator.

But you know this already.

To arrive in heaven, the soul of a person must travel by faith through the single person of Jesus, and having made the decision for Christ that you probably have, someday you'll be well-on-your-way to your future home.

Faith, that great leap into the unseen, is distinctly Christian. Religions do not adhere to the tenant of faith, because they prefer that you work your way toward "god." The list that promises to deliver you to "god" differs from religion-to-religion, but the purpose for following them does not; you find and receive because of what you do.

But Jesus draws a line in the spiritual sand, dividing Christianity from religion. In Christianity, you receive not because of what you do, but rather because of what He did. And to dissociate your eternal destiny from any effort on your part takes one GIGANTIC leap into the unknown. You're banking everything on Jesus. That, my friend, takes faith. A faith, as I alluded to earlier, that I imagine you readily possess.

But what about faith for the moment? Do you have that kind of faith? Where does the faith come from to live life lighthearted and untroubled? Better yet, how does God arrange circumstances so that you willingly receive faith for today's present moment?

If you would like to know the answer, I encourage you to read my latest blog post titled, How God Gives You a Life of Faith.

Yes, He is the giver of faith, and yes, there is a particular way He offers it. A way that you've been experiencing even though you may not have recognized it.

Abiding in Him,
