Fabio Making His Mark At Manchester United

But both of them were not able to take part in the games because they were not 18, they turned 18 in 2008 July. Fabio was born on 9th at Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Fabio is now 19 years old and his squad number is 20. He is one among the best defenders Manchester United has had in the past and is considered to be the most lucrative defender for the future.

Fabio had taken part at the Nike Premier Cup in 2005 in Tokyo. He was with Fluminense the Brazilian club. At that moment and was a very good player for the team. There he was spotted by the scout of Manchester United who told Sir Alex Ferguson that these twins were good enough to be in the Manchester United Squad. Alex Ferguson then had a talk with Fluminense and took their permission for the brothers to travel to Manchester for training in the year 2005.

But later in the same year, Arsenal had made an offer to the twins and they were about to consider it when their mother told the brothers that they had to show some loyalty to their club Fluminense because they had been in the club for many years. The twin brother then decided to stick to Manchester United as Arsenal had not taken permission from Fluminense when they spoke to the twin brothers. Both the brothers had signed the contract in 2007 but they could not play till they were 18 on the 9th of July 2008.

Fabio was also an under 17 player for the Brazilian football team and was the captain of the team for the Under 17 World Cup FIFA in 2007. In the same, he scored twice and also became the team's joint high scorer. He was also approached by the Porgual National team to sign him and asked him to play for the Portugal national team as both the brothers had Portuguese citizenship.

Fabio is a great defender who is attacking and is aggressive. With his twin brother at the right back position, Fabio can complete a twin full back pairing for the team. Fabio is also believed to be the player who is destined for success in the future of Manchester United's team.

After being overlooked for a placein teh Brazilian 2010 World Cup squad, Fabio vowed to work hard all summer to ensure that he was at his best as soon as the Premier League season starts, and redouble his efforts on the training ground to ensure he makes it to the future World Cups.
