Exports Of Mobile Phones Increased 43.5% In July

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently issued the condition of the national import and export in the July of 2011. The data show that in July, mobile phone exports up 43.5%.

According to customs statistics, from the January to the July of 2011, the imports and exports of the country were $ 2,022.5 billion, an increase of 25.1%. The exports were $ 1.0494 trillion, an increase of 23.4%, down 0.6 percentage points compared with the first half. The imports were $ 973.2 billion, an increase of 26.9 %, 0.7 percentage points lower than the first half. The trade surplus was $ 76.2 billion, a decrease of 8.7% compared with the same period of last year.

The analysts of the industry say that the import and export growth of July has accelerated. In July, the country's imports and exports totaled $ 318.8 billion, an increase of 21.5%. The exports increased by 20.4%. Since March the export growth continued to slow down. The imports rose 22.9 percent, 3.6 percentage points faster than last month. The trade surplus was $ 31.5 billion in the same month.

Textile exports grew rapidly. In July, the exports of furniture, plastic products, and lamps increased 9.2%, 21% and 26.6%, significantly faster than the previous month. The exports of toys, textiles and clothing increased 5.8%, 21% and 27.1%, steadily. Footwear and bags respectively have a year on year increase of 17.8% and 31.7%. The growth rate fell slightly.

Electronics exports rose steadily. In July, the export volume of mobile phones grew 43.5%. The export growth rate of automatic data processing equipment and parts rose from last month's 3.3% to 15.6%. The analysts of the industry say that the export volume of color TV fell 15.3 percent. The decline continued to expand.

The export growth of mechanical and electrical products, high-tech products has accelerated. In July, the exports of mechanical and electrical products, high-tech products have a year on year growth of 15.8% and 15.1% respectively. The growth rate increased 2 and 3.3 percentage points compared with last month. From the January to July, the exports of mechanical and electrical products, high-tech product were $ 595.2 billion and $ 301 billion, an increase of respectively 18.9% and 15.7%.

The analysts of the industry say that the major markets of exported mobile phones are South Korea, the United States and Hong Kong. The exports to emerging markets declined. Exports of mobile phones increased 43.5% in July.
