Exploring The Stargate Universe

A whole generation mourned the finale of Stargate SG:1 debatedly the most excellent sci-fi series in the records of television. With 10 seasons under its belt, Stargate SG:1 is one of the longest standing sci-fi TV programs ever, defeating personalities in the arena such as Star Trek: The Next Generation and the original Twilight Zone.

But the legion of crowds that have liked the program all through the years experience relief in the fact that the shows sequel, Stargate Atlantis, was still on the air.

That is, until Stargate Atlantis was also pulled off the airing schedule, announcing the present 5th season as its last.

What should the millions of Stargate fans look forward to? Surely, not another cartoon series banked on the franchise, right?

Here comes Stargate Universe, a novel take on the TV program, albeit one which will become apparent in similar universe populated by humans and Goulds, amid other races.

Stargate Universe, as lots of fans have noticed, is really a mixture of Stargate and Star Trek, two of the most well-known and most powerful science fiction franchises in the 20th century. Stargate Universe doesnt exclusively rotate on the Stargates that have turned into the core of preceding television shows in the series, though the Stargates are still the core points of the stories. Instead Stargate Universe makes use of a spaceship much like the U.S.S. Enterprise.

As the story continues, an ancient ship launched by an aged society has been discovered. The spaceship, which was named Destiny, was boarded by a group of travelers, specifically Colonel Everett Young, Tamara Jon, Chloe Carpenter, Eli Hitchcock, Lt. Jared Nash, and Ron "Psycho" Stasiak.

But Destiny has a pre-encoded track, past the control of its group.

Hence, the spaceship began its journey, taking with it the group of explorers to farfetched stars to encounter new friends and new foes, performing some strange undertakings planned by the ancient culture.

Is the Destiny designed to be a mechanism that will connect the world, or a weapon that is designed to obliterate it?

Certainly, the mechanics of the franchise have been changed with the coming presentation of Stargate Universe. But as a Stargate fan would say to you, a flower by any new name would hum just as sweet.

Even though that flower takes the form of an enormous combat cruiser.
