Exploring Online Marketing In Relation To Creating Wealth From Home

By:

Different ways of creating wealth from home are numerously found online. Are they all valid? I would answer a resounding no if I had to. But are there people and companies getting rich online? With that question I would say Yes as well.

Do you fancy yourself a online money making cash sucking entrepreneur? You do? How many businesses have you been involved in and are successful at? Have any of the businesses you have started or got involved been successful yet? The reason I ask is many people are trying to get rich online, have started many businesses and lost their pants in the process. I personally would compare today's internet marketing to the California gold rush of the 1800's.

I half suspect though that analogy is not quite as similar in all aspects when you compare the two scenarios. For example with in the 1800's gold rush, there were clearly two separately defined "grunts on the ground" so to speak. You had the people singularly involved in the search for gold. They were your panners and miners who were in the creeks and minds. You then had the men who ran businesses to supply the gold seekers with the needed supplies. Basically of the two types, I would say the latter category, the suppliers of needed supplies were all in the more successful of the two groups.

Gold was clearly the end product that all this activity revolved around. Now in comparison, if you were applying the same standards, all the twists and turns of the gold rush to modern day online marketers involved in creating wealth from home, one would find all of the gold seekers selling shovels, pans, picks, food tents, and other supplies as an addition to their gold seeking activities. You may not have in fact any legitimate singularly involved group who were singularly gold seekers who were doing that and that alone.

Now I said "grunts on the ground" for a reason, because many people trying to earn money online are not a business entity per se. Let's say for example that 90% of the people seeking online income are just average Joe's, that they are not a large online business, but just an individual. So what are they doing online? What are they attempting to sell? Well simplistically put, they are all trying to sell to a large degree "ways to make money" ..to each other.

Do you understand what I just said there? I'm trying to sell to you "how to make money online" techniques and you're trying to sell to me the same thing. But it doesn't end there my friend, oh no. We are selling the tools of how to accomplish that objective as well. What are some of the tools? Well you are probably aware of them as well as me. A short list would include auto-responders, software for accomplishing this task along with tools and training in how to gain traffic to your website. You then have all the different types of traffic generating techniques that are up for sale in one form or another.

Clearly it is all a cluster fug. It is mind boggling to say the least. And here comes the cherry on top..wait for it.. To add to the fun, we all change what we're doing almost daily. A large majority of today's internet marketers never really stick with something very long at all.To say a lot of people flip flop at least once from one thing to another thing at least weekly is probably an understatement. The successful online marketers are probably the ones who are exploiting this process by continually coming out with new products and services to "make everyone so rich they will never have to work a day in their lives again".

Now here comes the useful part of this article of pondering the maze, what we can do differently to improve our chances of creating wealth from home from our online marketing efforts. When you look at all the big successful online businesses like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, the big name ecommerce site what do they have in common? They all are singularly focused through their known business entity towards their monetization goals consistently. What? What I meant is next week, next month, next year Google is still going to be called Google, Amazon is still going to be called Amazon. Do you see what I mean? They start a business, they name it, and that does not change. Their objectives do not change.

The benefit in focusing your effort on one business entity is all your efforts compound and when the benefit comes, it all comes back to your business entity. All your good SEO effort that you are doing today for example will still be adding towards your goals next year. Think I am wrong? If you are called ACME ONLINE CHICKEN FARM this month and all your hard written articles point back to your sites URL, well all that effort is just going to be wasted when next week you change your business to CLARENCE'S BIG AUTO-INSURANCE EMPORIUM. But that is what a lot of marketers do. They spend days, weeks and months promoting something, then scrap it and start over and all that effort goes to waste.

SEO is kind of like seasoned beef or aged wine. It takes a while after the ingredients are brewed or put together to get the best results. For instance I have found on a lot of keyword searches that the top Google results are caches pages that go back as far as 2005 and such. Some of these sites may not even be in existence anymore, but that doesn't matter, there they are in the tops slots. Now think if they were your businesses people and those sites were still active. You could still be reaping the rewards of ongoing free traffic from organic search engine searchers.

Another good example a long these lines is just because you might be called Bobs Enterprises, you don't have to try to sell everything under the sun from one site. That defuses your efforts. It would be better if you marketed one product or service and marketed that through targeting the keywords that one would use to seek out that product. Enhancing that scenario would be if a searcher ended up in your site through a search that offered just that product and nothing else. Give a person to many choices is not a good situation on line.

Taken that objective even further you could focus your keyword SEO objectives on one long tail keyword at a time. For example take a low competitive keyword, focus all of your traffic garnering efforts to dominating that keyword to end up in the number one position in Google. When you do reach that goal, take another keyword and dominate that one, and then another, and then another. It might take you a few years to dominate tens or hundreds of long tail keywords, but the more you do, the more potential traffic (aka) customers will arrive in your site and possibly making you a lot of money.
