They also have Gavros, a certain type of anchovy and Galeos, which is a kind of fillet generally served with a side of garlic salad and beetroot. Kakavia or Greek fish soup will surely be loved by those who favor fish dishes. It is a dish of fresh fish cooked with a mixture of vegetables, like, carrots, onions, potatoes and celery. Olive oil, a must-have in most Greek fare, is also liberally used. Greek desserts are more commonly known such as traditional Greek yoghurt with honey and Baklava.
