Fried Kway Tiao is the fried black noodles. Normally this dish is served with cockles. Some of the local desserts can be named as Ice Kachang, Grass Jelly, Chendol, Tao Suan, etc. Ice Kachang is very tasty and flavoured with ingredients like red bean and jelly. Grass Jelly is a refreshing black jelly usually cools down on a hot day, while Chendol is coconut based dessert. Tao Suan can be described as bean in sticky paste topped by fried dough. Singaporeans are mad about this dishes and I am sure after having the taste once you cannot forget in rest of your lifetime.

Bak kut The is a soup with Chinese pork ribs. This is usually cooked in five spices herbs, cinnamon, fennel seeds, star anise, clove, pepper, dang gui and garlic. This dish is eaten with rice, fried dough and also salted vegetables. Chinese tea is one of the accompaniments as it is believed that Chinese tea more particularly Tieguanyin dissolves the rich amount of fat consumed in this pork-laden dish. Some other names are Chilli crab, Char Kway Teow, Fish Head Curry, Rojak, Fried Carrot Cake, etc. Char Kway Teow is a sweet noodle dish while in chili crab you will get the crab cooked in think tomato and chili gravy. This dish is really spicy.
