Excessive Hair Growth In Abnormal Areas Caused By Hirsutism

This girl was 21 when the hair on her chin began growing. After more than 20 years of plucking, shaving, and waxing, she is still left with an embarrassingly thick and dark stubble. Meanwhile, at the age of only 12, another girl already had dark facial hair growing on her upper lip and chin. Being reflected on by the sun was something she dreaded to happen, she recalled, which explained why she would keep her back toward the window when she'd go into a restaurant.

In a vain effort to improve her self esteem, she bleached her hair as a teenager. How I felt about myself depended sometimes on what the time of day was. For several years, these girls have tried out any hair removal technique that could be heard of, but now they have found the solution that works and that makes them feel wonderful. Through the laser hair removal system, they are bidding farewell to unwanted facial hair.

Laser hair removal, made available in the United States since 1997, involves shooting bursts of intense light below the skin's surface and destroying the hair follicles. While the treatment does not guarantee permanent hair removal, it does provide a long term solution for the thousands of men and women uncomfortable with the amount or location of certain body hair.

It's the best that I've seen so far that would work for someone who has been plagued by hair growth all her life. It is a fantastic treatment even if you will not go out completely hairless. This lady has already received the treatment about five times already with a few touch ups in between. Only five black hairs are all that can be seen on my chin, she said, indicating that the procedures are truly a success.

Out of all the solutions presented through the years, this is probably the most effective in hair removal. This is now makes a problem that before could not be controlled manageable now. Hair removal patients have excess body hair for a number of reasons, the most common being hirsutism, polycystic ovary syndrome, and prescription medications.

Many men, not just women, find laser hair removal to be the solution to excessive hair problems they have, such as excessive hair on their backs. The treatment is a preferred alternative to any form of waxing or shaving. This girl was so delighted with how her face turned out that she wanted to have her underarms treated as well. Shaving was not her problem, she said, but the shadow that just didn't want to get off.

Contacting the medical director of a local health and beauty institute was one patient did after seeing the different ads for the removal system. In a similar case just like other hair removal patients, she was looking for a solution that was permanent. The director claimed that the treatment will not satisfy these people, and so he can't treat them. Hair removal is not something that would last for eternity. Hair reduction and controlled hair growth are the effects of this technology.

Before he decides to go on with the laser procedure, the director first instructs people to answer a questionnaire regarding the hair growth and the areas they want treated. A question about the expectations of the patients is included there. Those who answer no more hair growth are politely declined. Some however are satisfied with just the thought of a long period of time where hair growth and density is decreased and will go through with the procedure. Rather than going through the hassle of taking care of her sensitive skin, she insisted on this procedure to make her life simpler.
