Everyone In Wyoming Should Build A Quonset Hut!

By:

American Quonset huts proved their worth among the barracks and the military frontlines of the first couple world wars as they provided cost-effective shelter, cheap housing, and ample workspace for our boys at home and those brave men overseas. They were easily and affordably constructed and considered really tough enough for the military - and they still are today! If you're looking for a shelter to house your boats, cars, trucks, workshop, woodworking business, or repair garage, you can find no building more suited for the task and ready for war, like a quonset hut!

Quonset hut kits are made from curved or straight steel walls, prefabricated and shipped on a flatbed truck to their destination. They come in a building kit type configuration so that they set up much easier than a normal building would, and save you TONS of time and money on construction. They have a curved steel span roof, often times corrugated, thus eliminating any need for time-heavy shingling and planking to set the roof and ceiling. This also does something else to help you: It saves you tons of cash in repair work over the life of the building. A traditional barn or garage building space would require yearly maintenance and a new roof every couple decades, while a steel quonset hut has no need for this. Most quonset hut builders make sure their quonset huts actually come with a 25 year rust-through perforation warranty as well, yet again, saving you tons of money.

Quonset huts are easily erected by just a group of friends over a few days or in your spare time over a couple weekends. Paying someone with lunch a few beers when you are done is a lot more economically sound than spending thousands on traditional building construction workers. Quonset huts are strong, but they go easy on your pocket book.

A quonset hut is made of reinforced steel walls. This material has been tested against a variety of climate and inclement weather conditions. Many quonset hut builders have tested their buildings against wind, specifically. Some quonset huts have tested against winds of 150MPH, that is the strength of a sustained tornado or a hurricane! Now compare that to a weak wooden garage, and there is no doubt that when it comes to integrity nothing beats steel.

As we have stated above, there are a lot of reasons that we as a nation have made sure quonset huts stay around for awhile, but the simple reason that so many of them exist from back in the days of WWII, is because they are just incredibly strong, and with so many uses for them, they have become absolutely indespensable! Make sure you do yourself a favor, and never construct a barn or garage again that isn't a wind-tested, safe, strong, affordable metal quonset hut like the ones we built in WWII!

About the Author:
I have spent the last ten years trying to teach people the importance of finding good quonset hut builders and choosing a good quonset hut building for your barn, metal home, or garage. The best deals on quonset huts I have ever found were at the Rocket Steel Buildings site.
