Every Cartoon Character Has Kid Scooter Designs

By:

Every playground in town has dozens of children scurrying about on kids scooters and, when viewing them, it is easy to see that they are manufactured in all kinds of designs, sporting a rainbow of colors. In fact, your child's favorite cartoon character probably has their specifically designed kids scooters for sale. Along with the popularly collected cartoon character stickers, character doll, T-shirt and lunch pail, scooters with a familiar character woven into its design has also become highly sought after.

Teenagers Treat as Well

Many kids scooters are not just for kids anymore. They have become popular entertainment tools for teenagers much like a skateboard has always been. Additionally, teenagers soon learned that tricks could be performed riding scooters mimicking ones executed on the BMX tracks throughout the world. Scooters have evolved greatly through manufacturing innovation allowing tricks to evolve as well. Scooters have also recently been added as an extreme sport in worldwide X-games. They are now looked upon as contemporaries to all bike and skateboard-based trick performances.

Design Remains Simple

The actual design of kids scooters has pretty much remained the same since the first one was made. The huge exception is that today they are built using sturdy yet light weight aluminium not wood. Furthermore, scooters now have a folding mechanism which makes them easier to carry and store. They still have a simple design consisting of a single front-placed steering wheel that is guided by a pole T-shaped handle bar. The platform ends with either a single or double back wheel placement. Therefore, you can make several choices on construction design based on the number of wheel set ups chosen.

Extras are Added

Throughout the years, manufacturers have added a potpourri of extras that have included sealed bearings, PU wheels, rear brakes, flashing lights, chrome finishing and highly glossed metallic paints. The advancement in bearing manufacturing alone has resulted in much smoother riding. An additional additive in recent years has been the placement of a small motor with fully rechargeable batteries placed at the rear of the scooter. These motors actually propel kids scooters to a staggering speed of 15mph. Unfortunately, motorized scooters are prohibited from use on roadways and must be limited to off-road pavements and playground areas. Use of motorized kids scooters needs a good deal of open space in order to safely operate. It is highly recommended that anyone - child or adult - operating motorized scooters also wear proper head gear as a safety precaution.

Use of motorized kids scooters allows a child the opportunity to go green while having a lot of fun. A good choice will allow zipping about during extended playtime never having to worry about recharging. So, there are scooters targeted to be welcome by children of all ages for lots of fun and excitement.
