Everett B. Walters Are The Jazz Masters

Born and raised in Chicago's South side, Michael Everett Brown and Harold Walter Brown III are riding a wave of smooth funk to success with their jazz project, Everett B. Walters. After beginning their musical career in the Chicago Vocational Music program, the brothers created a dynamic, captivating brand of smooth jazz which is garnering attention from fans, radio stations, and magazines. With a horde of notable live performances and reviews, Everett B. Walters relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to take the jazz scene by storm.

The pair of guitarists craft a sound which easily fits into the smooth jazz genre, but maintains a certain funky sensibility which sets them apart from the crowd. Their slick guitar playing, with infectious hooks and dramatic solos carry the melodies through most songs, while bass, keyboards, and percussion cement an ideal foundation for each track. Everett B. Walters isn't afraid of a little R&B either though, as they're just as capable of pulling off a slower, romantic vibe, as they are with their powerful jazz based rhythms.

After numerous performances in Chicago including the iconic Cotton Club and The Click, Everett B. Walters uprooted and made tracks for the bright lights of Las Vegas. They immediately started making waves, securing gigs at Caesar's, MGM, Chez's, and The Hop. The dynamic duo was opening for artists such as Boney James, Boyz 2 Men, and Bernie Mac while headlining with Lenny Williams, Euge Groove and Fattburger, as they established themselves as local favorites in the Las Vegas scene.

"I just love these guys and having their music on my Oasis Lounge jazz show," said midday host Lynn Briggs of KOAS 105.7 in Las Vegas. The group also continues to frequent events hosted by the local jazz station due to their burgeoning popularity in the area.

The latest record, Always High Reaching is an 11 track smooth jazz opus, featuring a plethora of talented guest musicians including Shawn Rivera, Mike White, Alex Al, Simone Sello, and many more.
