Espn Signs Deal With Horizon League To Deliver Basketball Games Till 2013

ESPN has signed a multi-year deal with Horizon League for coverage of basketball across ESPN Networks. The Horizon League headquartered in Indianapolis is an NCAA Division I athletics conference that sponsors 19 intercollegiate championships.

This deal allows ESPN to present Horizon League mens basketball events through 2013. The deal gives ESPN distribution rights for Horizon League programming across multiple ESPN platforms that include:

ESPN Deportes
ESPN HD
ESPN Pay-Per-View
ESPN Video-on-Demand
ESPN2 HD
ESPN360.com
ESPNU.com

ESPN's three year deal will allow the sports network to deliver mens basketball regular-season games and selected rounds of the mens and womens basketball championships Horizon League events. The coverage includes:

Coverage of seven regular-season basketball games as well as the mens basketball championship semifinals and the womens basketball championship game each year of the contract on ESPNU.
# A minimum of four regular-season mens basketball appearances annually on ESPN or ESPN2, plus the mens basketball championship game during Championship Week.
# Annual coverage of seven mens basketball games exclusive to ESPN360.com, ESPNs live broadband sports network, as well as simulcasts of additional ESPN Full Court games.
Continued participation by all 10 Horizon League teams in ESPNs annual BracketBusters event.
