Erp Systems Consultant Is The Glue Holding The Modern It Company Together - 983 Words

I work as an Enterprise Resource Planning Systems Analyst at a large manufacturing company. I have been at my current job for 2 years, but I have worked in the industry for a little over 5 years.

I basically evaluate, implement, assess and optimize the enterprise resource planning system at my current company. This system allows the accounting, sales and manufacturing departments to be able work together in a more efficient process. With a proper working system, everyone in the company will be able to know what is going on through each division of the company. This ultimately saves the company time and money. I do not believe that there are any misunderstandings about my job because very few people have ever heard of ERP systems.

If I had to rate my job satisfaction on a scale from 1 to 10, I would give it a score of 9. I will be completely satisfied with my job when I am the head of division at my company. I currently working towards the top, and will be completely satisfied with my job when I get there.

I would not say that this job moves my heart because I am not doing anything special. I am working on a computer system all day long. I am not working to save peoples lives like a doctor or nurse. I do think that I have found my calling in life because I completely enjoy my job and would not like to be doing anything else with my life.

I do not believe that there is anything unique about my situation. I got to where I am in life by working my hardest throughout school and at work each day.

I got in to this line of work because I have always loved computers and business. I took a lot of computer and business classes throughout high school. This lead me to study Information Technology Management during college because it combined computers and business. Once I graduated, I was looking for a job and found one working on ERP systems. I would not change anything about my life if I had a chance to do so.

One thing I've learned the hard way since I have started this job is that I learned that you have to vow for your mistakes and not hope that they go unnoticed. I was afraid to make a mistake when I first started my job after college, and did not know that it was alright to make a mistake. When they eventually found out what happened, I was yelled at more than if I would have told them of the mistake.

That is the single most important thing that I have learned in the working world that they do not tell you in school. It is alright to make mistakes as long as you do not try to hide them and do not make the same mistake again. When you first start a job, they know that there will be a learning curve at first, so do not get discouraged if you do something wrong.

I would not say that anything strange has ever happened to me while I was working. I do not deal with too many people. I just work on the computer all day, so there is very little opportunity for something strange to happen to me.

I get up and go to work everyday so that I can provide for my family. I work to give them a better life, so that they can have anything that they may want. I feel the most proud when I am able to do something for my family. They are the most important thing in my life and I do everything for them.

The biggest challenges that I face each day are when there are problems with the ERP system. If the system is not working properly, then the entire business is not working efficiently. This can make me want to pull my hair out because I know that I have to get the system fixed as soon as possible.

When there are problems with the system, my job can be very stressful. Luckily, this does not occur that often. When nothing is going wrong, then my job is not very stressful. I am able to maintain a healthy work-life balance by not thinking about work when I am at home.

The average salary range for my position is around $80,000. I believe that this is easily enough money for me to live a nice life. I am able to live comfortably and still be able to afford some extra luxuries if I want, which is all that I can ask for.

I am currently getting 4 weeks of vacation. I think this is enough time off because I can not take too much time off at one time. I am able to take a vacation with my family and still have extra days left over for the rest of the year.

To get hired and succeed in this field, you need to be very good with computers and have an IT degree from a quality college.

If I had a friend wanting to enter this field, I would tell them that the work can be very difficult and stressful at times; however, it is still worth it if this is what you love to do.

If I could write my own ticket, I would like to be the head of my division within the next five years. If this happens, I will have nothing to complain about with my life.
