Entrepreneurs Need 4 Types Of People To Succeed

By:

Every growing business gets to the point where the entrepreneur must step aside as the entrepreneur must come to terms that they are not a superhero. Some control must be given to others. It becomes apparent that the entrepreneur needs 4 types of people to succeed.

The entrepreneur may be good at sales, they may be good at forming a business or they may have some other skills that go above and beyond other human beings that have allowed them to start the business in the first place.

Regardless of the entrepreneur's exact skill set, their business inevitably reaches a point where the founder (a.k.a. the visionary) needs to find others to fill the gaps.

When KAS started to grow, I quickly came to the realization that I was not going to succeed without the help of other people.

I assessed my weaknesses and brought in someone who was older and more mature to assess the processes we put in place. Though, I knew this individual from childhood, therefore there was trust in the relationship. This trust is key.

To better help the entrepreneur navigate business growth, it is imperative that they find the below types of people. Without these people being part of the equation, their business cannot grow.

People Who Are Loyal

Entrepreneurs need to hire individuals that see their vision and who are loyal. Can loyalty be bought? Loyalty, in an indirect manner, has to be bought. The reason why it the answer is "grey" all people want to be appreciated at work.

In any business, people want to feel that they are integral to the company. Because team members cannot read the minds of the entrepreneur, compensation is the best barometer they have.

A Finance and Numbers Guru

Many entrepreneurs are not good with numbers. I am included in that group. Numbers are often difficult for the entrepreneur and bankers seem to have an agenda that is difficult for the entrepreneur to grasp.
Therefore, it is imperative that they hire an intelligent and honest individual to control costs and guide the entrepreneur as to what he or she can do financially.

A Manager Who Knows What They're Doing

Some people are good at management and some are not. Because entrepreneurs have minds that consistently race, they need someone to help manage those who are implementing them.

The CFO or accountant who works with the manager has to be able to work with a manager to figure out the workflow of the business. Precision is key here.

People Who Share Their Vision

There can be no secrets between the first members who join an organization. The entrepreneur must spit his or her vision at the other members so directly and candidly that his vision becomes a daily part of their lives.

Though, to do so, the entrepreneur must care for the other people within his or her organization. Only at this point can they create the leaders who will make up the organization's core leadership.
