Enjoying Artificial Turf

Have you ever passed a house with turf so green and straight and clean that it put your best efforts at maintaining a lawn to shame? If you have, then you know how awful it feels. But don't feel too bad just yet because your efforts may not be to blame. You might just be looking at an artificial turf from NAMGRASS.

Artificial what?

Artificial turf. Artificial turfs are made from artificial grass, which would explain all the green, straight, clean-cut grass you saw. Because they are artificial, the grass stay green all year round. Getting one means you won't have to deal with mowing and weeding and watering because the grass stay healthy (or rather appear to be healthy) no matter what happens. Even the intense sun won't discolour the grass! You also don't have to worry about moles busting through because the artificial grass has a back cover made from strongly-woven cloth with a layer of latex. This very same back cover is what also prevents weeds from sprouting out along with your grass.

Installing artificial turfs.

As with anything, properly installing an artificial turf entails having complete materials at hand. Some of the materials that you would need to have during installation include:

Geotex membrane - this is the heavy-duty membrane that is laid beneath the artificial grass, the back cover that prevents weeds and moles from making a mess of your lawn.

Jointing tape - it is not always possible to cover an area with just one section of artificial grass so jointing is unavoidable. Jointing tape takes care of those overlapping sections and works well with glue products made specifically for artificial grass.

Drainage underlay - you might be using artificial grass but they will also be subjected to the same conditions as natural grass so water drainage is needed. The drainage underlay essentially assists the water flow to an easier path to the gutter or drain.
