Enjoy Learning A New Instrument

There is so much joy that can be had when you are learning how to do something for the first time. I grew up learning how to play the piano and eventually the guitar. I believe that taking time to practice and dedicate myself to improving my skills helped make me a well rounded person.

I had to be responsible for making myself practice each day. I knew how I felt when I had to go to a lesson and I was not fully prepared. I hated that feeling. I was embarrassed that I had not worked harder throughout the week.

I know that there are many things that we can dedicate our time to learning and I believe that learning how to play an instrument is a great way to spend our time and enrich our lives. Music offers so much and I know that my life has been impacted by music in many ways.

I spent a lot of my time growing up learning how to play the piano and guitar. I spend many hours in dancing in ballet classes and singing in school and church choirs. I was able to meet many people because of music that I would not have had I not decided to pursue music in all of these different varieties.

If you have always wanted to pursue learning how to play a particular instrument, now is the perfect time to try. I know that you will enjoy learning something that you enjoy so much and learning will be easier if you have a great desire to learn. Find a local music shop or even look online to find everything you need to start learning.

You can buy new or used acoustic electric guitars, violins, trumpets or whatever instrument you would like to learn. Make sure you have all of the accessories that you will need to learn as well. For example, you may need tuners, picks and amplifiers when you are shopping for acoustic electric guitars.

Sign up for group or individual lessons or try to teach yourself how to play the instrument. Perhaps you have a friend or family member who can help you learn. Find a way that you will be able to learn best and then enjoy the journey.

I know that you may encounter rough times when you want to give up, but if you stick with it, then you will find so much joy that comes from accomplishing a goal that you have worked so hard for.
