Endometriosis: Facts And Natural Remedies

By:

Endometriosis is an extremely painful and debilitating issue that can afflict women. It occurs when the cells lining the uterus grow abnormally and then attach themselves to other organs such as the ovaries or bowel.

These cells are normally shed during menstruation, but in cases of endometriosis, they cannot be shed because they are growing in abnormal areas, so internal bleeding, excessive and acute pain and a feeling of general unwell ness can occur at menstruation time monthly.

Main Symptoms of Endometriosis

The most frequently reported symptoms of endometriosis include:

Uterine pain (intense and relentless)

Growth of endometrial tissue on fallopian tubes, ovaries, urinary tract, bladder, bowel, pelvic floor

Lower back pain

Lower abdomen organ pain at menstruation time

Painful sexual intercourse

Excess bleeding

Irregular bleeding

Dysuria (pain during urination)

Iron deficiency (due to heavy bleeding in endometriosis sufferers)

No-one really knows what causes endometriosis but nutritionists, naturopathic practitioners, dieticians and other natural remedies specialists agree that the condition can be managed successfully with natural health and natural products approaches.

Some research has suggested that toxins such as PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) and dioxin can cause spontaneous endometriosis in those exposed to these hazardous substances.

YOU can help minimise your symptoms or manage your endometriosis more effectively with the help of various supplements.
