Empty Foods-why Reducing Food Portions Is Not Good Enough

People get so impatient when looking for ways to lose weight,especially when summer is approaching.Reducing food portions to burn fat is the logical thing to do,so why still many people fail to lose weight?...Read on.

It's a known fact that processed foods are almost in every home around the globe.These foods are high in bad fats(all deep fried foods,sweets and etc. )and low in nutritional value ,that's why they can be easily called empty foods ; they offer nothing good to those who eat them.

Most people eat unhealthy foods every day without even thinking about it and then it's driving them crazy when they find themselves overweight on the scale.The truth is that processed foods can never fill you up enough,they can certainly stuff and bloat you, but your body needs more than that ,it needs to consume foods from a variety of sources that contain not only fat but also protein and carbohydrates in order to function properly .

Managing weight involves more than just reducing food portions .When empty foods are still on the food menu is a certain way to failure.Building a healthy strong body upon eating these foods is virtually impossible.Once people add them into their food menu,it's like they have created a ripple effect: more bad eating habits immediately starting to form(ex.If eating cheese burgers you also need bacon and fries,pizza comes with coke and etc.).It's the most common reason of junk food cravings.The effect is also strong in pets;once in a lunch at home i made the fatal mistake to give to my cat a few slices of salami from my sandwitch,and since then ,every time i sit to eat,it keeps hovering under the table hoping to get more salami!So be careful what you give to your pet as well!

But getting more fat is not the only thing you need to worry about;it's the health issue that you should worry about, empty foods could contain many harmful for your health ingredients such as trans fats,concervatives,artificial colourings and sweeteners,sugar and lots of salt,not so empty foods after all !!

So what should somebody do?First of all, reducing food portions to lose weight has to be done slowly,allowing your body to function properly without missing important nutrients and avoiding getting into starvation mode. Your diet even at the beginning should be sufficient in fruits,vegetables,fish,meat,legumes,nuts,cheese,eggs and wholegrains, but of course in moderate to slightly reduced amounts,here I will highly recommend you, whenever possible to chose organic foods for greater health benefits.And lets not forget the exercise as well:you need strong cardio(not the easy cardio that you don't break a sweat.)2-3 times a week and resistance training a couple of times per week.
