Emergency Medical Locums entice young and old emergency medical physicians from all walks of life for all sorts of reasons.

Some younger emergency medical physicians who are in their last year of specialized training in emergency medicine will accept an Emergency Medical Locums to enhance their training in emergency medicine or to earn some extra money as they are still technically training and are not earning top dollar. The urge to travel to remote areas or exciting cities also leads physicians to fill Emergency Medical Locums, either because these physicians want to experience working in a rural area serving the under served or because they like the idea of spending some quality time in a big city environment.

Those physicians who choose to go to more remote areas of the country where physicians are in desperate need and income average are low will probably draw a much lower salary than the physician who chooses to serve out an Emergency Medical Locum in a major city at a major university hospital. In comes cases, the physician will decide that the position is ideal and want to stay on as a full-time staff member. Depending on the Emergency Medical terms and contact, this is often times an option for the physician. Even though Emergency Medical Locums only last a short period of time some physicians get use to the practice they are in and the why it is run. They are happy with there living circumstances, and if they have children, they don't want to move them to a new school, so they will request the locum position be changed to a permanent one.
