Email Marketing Strategy: Brochures

By:

When it comes to the world of Internet marketing, few other tools match or surpass effective as email marketing in efficiently advertising a company's goods and services. That being the case, you should have your own campaigns of email advertisements too for your business. One email scheme is to send out brochures of product or service updates on a regular basis, like monthly or fortnightly.

First and Foremost: Spam Not

Spam not, and mail with the utmost certainty that the recipient has opted in to your email service. This is like the first and foremost commandment in Internet marketing via email. Spam is useless, irksome, and potentially dangerous not just to the recipients email, but also to his or her computer and private information. So don't let the email marketing program you use send out emails to client lists that have not opted in to it-and never bulk email. You might as well sentence your email advertising scheme to death.

Brochure Ideas

Now that you have a clear understanding of the importance of email advertising's rule of thumb, it's now time to brainstorm possible email brochure ideas. Normally, brochures are overviews of a company's or business' goods and services that usually benefit potential clients and help them decide whether or not to do business. But we will be dealing with existing clients here, and they should know more or less what you and your company can offer. But we can still use the concept of brochures to our advantage. Consider sending out brochures for new goods and services or those that have new offers, discounts, perks, and privileges. You do offer some discounts and that sort of client appreciation schemes, don't you? So why not make your email marketing software send out brochures to existing clients that detail how they can take advantage of an ongoing promotion or something similar? Not only would you have a legitimate excuse to remind them of your business relationship, but you also express how you value them by sending them such updates on a regular basis, making sure they get the best deals.

Also, you can send out seasonal and holiday brochures. Most businesses have their own promotions and schemes come a particular time of year, like Christmas for instance. It's a good marketing practice and you should have your own as well. When these occasions draw near and you have a marketing scheme cooking, then always send out email brochures of what you're up to and how your clients can get the most out of it.

Another great email brochure that your clients would greatly appreciate is a brochure of special discount coupons or gift certificates or special prizes. In fact, through a regular wave of special offers brochures you can get an idea which of your goods and services are more marketable than others, and then work on product and service weaknesses and capitalize on strengths.

You see, brochures, like email newsletters, are regular email marketing solution choices that when done the right way, can have lasting positive impacts on your business.
