Eliminate These Mistakes From Your Email Campaigns

By:

If you have built yourself a list for your marketing, the next step is to keep your subcribers happy and keep your list growing.

Treat your list as you would real live people and provide interesting and valuable content for them to read. You must aim your marketing messages at people and not just random email addresses.

Try to avoid some of these other commom errors that a lot of marketers make in their emails.

1. Spelling and grammar errors:

This is a very important part of your marketing strategy. If you battle with your spelling or to make yourself understood, you are going to battle to get your readers to take you seriously. Proof read each and every letter that you send out, and read aloud to yourself to see how it sounds.

2. Get to the Point:

Too many marketers waffle on and lose their readers along the way. If you are promoting something, get to the point of your email. People have very low attention spans in general, and if you don't get their interest, they will simply delete the email.

3. Using weak subject lines:

Grab your readers attention with the first 25 characters or less on the subject line, or your message won't be opened. A good subject line is short and to the point, and it teases the reader and rouses curiosity. A good subject line should always delivers in the content of the letter what it promises.

4. Too much punctuation or writing in capital letters:

Remember never to write your emails in caps, as it is very uncomfortable to read, and writing in caps also means that you are shouting at your reader. Stay away from using too many exclamation marks in your subject line, as well as the body of your email, as they are irritating to most people, and are considered just as bad as shouting.

5. Make use of bullets:

Because of the fact that most people only scan their emails, you will need to use bullet points to get certain things to stand out for your readers.

6. Don't make your email too long

The email should not be longer than about four hundred words, and shouldn't contain large blocks of text, or they won't be read.

7. Use your P.S. effectively

The P.S. which is usually at the end of your email should be just as strong as your title. Use the P.S. to give your reader another reason to click on the link, or you could give him a preview of what the next email will be about.

As an internet marketer you will want your emails to be opened and read, so make sure to take the above tips into account when you next write an email.
