Effective Ways On Setting Expectations During Outsourcing Training

By:

When someone first joins our team as an outsourcer, tell them they need to provide open and clear communication. I often find if you don't understand something, if you're having a particular role or task explained to you during outsourcing training and there's a point where you don't understand, everything that happens following that, it doesn't sink in.

You're stuck back at the bit where you got stuck at the mistake. I help them to understand, if ever they've got a mistake or something that they're not fully understanding, they need to let me know at that point because I don't want to keep SEO training them on something and then, oh, hang on, I forgot, how do I log into my Gmail account or something as simple as that.

We also let them know that they need to communicate in a timely manner which typically speaking is dependent on what task they're doing for us as part of outsourcing training. If they're coming on board, I speak to them on a daily basis or my assistant will speak to them on a daily basis and checking in with them. If it's one off type tasks, I want them to be replying to me at least every forty- eight hours.

I set this expectation upfront so that if they don't meet that expectation, I've got them to agree to this right at the outset. Then I can say, we talked about this, this is one of my expectations, I'm very flexible, I'm very negotiable, but these expectations are the only thing I'm not flexible on. If you can't adhere to this, then it's best that we don't work together.

Then I tell them that any work they do for Melbourne SEO services and their outsourcing contract is one hundred percent confidential. Now the expectations, it's not fair for me to sit there and say here's what I expect of you, without saying here's what you can expect of me.

On the flip side I'll be open, honest and upfront at all times, you'll know where you stand with any situation. We'll be true to our word, so if I say I'm going to do something, I'll follow through. I'm not going to promise a pay rise or promise to reduce your hours or increase your hours unless I'm going to follow through. It's really just giving back that expectation of what it is that I expect of them.

My SEO company provides them with a friendly environment and professional. If they're not happy with anything at any point in time or during outsourcing training, I'll give them a quick resolution. Just come to me. I let them know, even though they will be talking to my assistant and other team leaders and those sorts of people, my door is always open. I'm not one to stand behind my project manager. I still, every now and then, if my project manager is unable to hop in, I'll make sure I jump on the phone and do the one on ones with them.
