Effective Tips To Get Rid Of Acne

Acne can respond well to treatment with retinoids, OK this does sound like a chemical based product, but is in fact produced from vitamin A. These are principally in the form of creams and lotions that are applied externally to the affected area. They work by opening clogged pores, allowing accumulated debris to drain without squeezing (you know not to do that don't you?)

You will not believe what ordinary everyday things can do, for example take the common toothpaste (not the gel type), dab a little of this on the acne and you will find how effectively it dries out your pimple.

You can use any milk available but if you are on a tight budget, you can use evaporated milk. Evaporated milk is cheaper but still as effective as skim or non fat. Apply it on your face in a gentle circular motion concentrating on the Triangular zone which includes your forehead, side of your nose to the cheeks and the upper lip where most oil build up happens.

Apart from it's well known antiseptic properties, Tea-Tree oil helps to dry out the excess oils in the skin. This helps to reduce the development of acne. If you are interested, Tea-Tree oil comes from the Australian Melaleuca tree, and it's properties were first discovered by the native aboriginals, who called it the Ti-Tree, so now you know.

You could make a solution of camphor lotion, honey and tomato juice and apply it on your face and keep it for 15 minutes. Wash it off with luke warm water and follow it up with a cold water rinse, it helps to control acne.

CALENDULA promotes healing of skin tissue. You can make a strong infusion of this herb and use as a facial was or steam. It is also available in creams.

MILK THISTLE is the most commonly used herb for cleansing and strengthening the liver. It also helps remove excess hormones through the stool by stimulating bile production.
