Of the greatest way one can succeed in loosing fats, being honest with one's self reigns highest. The beginning point of any successful fat loss strategy ought to know yourself inside out. Knowing your weaknesses and strengths, knowing your habits and character, knowing your goals and dreams, knowing you history and past successes and or failures. This knowledge comes hardy in designing such a diet program that will thrive in amplifying your strengths and overriding your weaknesses.

Human are inlaid with weaknesses and it is not only you who have to contend with certain failures. But when you accept and take on these failures, the ability to overcome them is handed to you. In most challenges, the self is the greatest limitation. The idea is to come with honest strategies to overcome or at least to cope up with these weaknesses. Yet you can never cure a disease you do not know about so the beginning point rather, is in identifying the problem areas that might sabotage your fat loss efforts.

It will be a good idea if you can sit down and have a session with yourself; during which time you earnestly and honestly asses your chances of loosing fat. What seems to be the deterrent should be identified and then steps sought to successfully overcome the deterrents. Remember you are loosing fats for yourself, for your health and for your own good. You do not have to impress or justify yourself to anybody else. If you step out of being in a crowd, step out of family, societal and social expectations, you will reach an arena where you can be totally honest with yourself. That is where real and successful fat loss begins.

Try listing or outlining the weak points in your diet program once in a while as a way of evaluating your progress or lack of it. Deal with these areas one by one and try not to be too ambitious. Be patient with yourself, learn to love yourself in the gradual process and then strive to achieve what you know is good, by making a sacrifice here and another there.

There are some factors that usually contribute to our diet failure and each person has his or hers. It might be our spouse who triggers our overeating habits, it might be going out to fancy restaurants, it might be stress, it might be our work volume and so and so on, identify them and then run away from them, or alternatively create some modified responses to each of them.

Create alternative behavior patterns like going for a walk when you usually go out for a beer, like surfing the web instead of going to the coffee shop, like calling friends and relatives instead of walking to the restaurant during lunch break, like carrying packed lunch instead of accompanying colleagues to the fries corner and so on. Within time, the modified behavior patterns and the changed lifestyle will reinforce the gains of your fat loss program.
