If the company is genuine and certified, this will not be a problem.

Entrust the work to a company with experience in the same. There are risks associated with using new companies as you cannot tell how efficient they will and whether data will be captured correctly, conversions made right or if they will get the indexing right. A company must demonstrate their ability to handle huge volumes of work via a positive track record. Checking customer reviews for what others have to say about them also helps.

Next, ensure that their staff is competent. They must have the skill, competence and goodwill needed to scan and archive documents accurately. If you are doing the document scanning yourself, ensure that you index them properly for easy access. If using a professional service provider, this will not be a problem. Documents that are shared across the office should be put on a shared document for easy access.
