Educated Guesses About The Third Batman Film

By:

Nobody anticipated the newest Batman film, the Dark Knight, to have the triumph it survived to reap. The follow-up to Batman Begins has earned $525,833,000 as of Oct. 5, 2008, the fastest film in the past to ever break the $500,000,000 hurdle.

This accomplishment has ensured one matter: another sequel.

Now, the internet is abuzz with gossips regarding the third film. These rumors are, of course, only that rumors. At this point, no one actually discerns what the third flick entails. However, considering the existing details we can derive certain patterns that will guide us to articulate educated speculations regarding the third film.

First, the label. Batman Begins is a catchy title that instantly speaks of a remake of the franchise originating from uninspiring accounts in the current ideas of the lead as portrayed by Tim Burton. Rumors of the title of the second flick ranged from the thrilling i.e. Batman Triumphant to the mundane i.e. Dark Moon Rising.

Eventually, the movie outfit settled for the Dark Knight, a name given by the persons of Gotham to their dwelling guardin in the pages of the comic book series.

And what title is to come up for the third film? It actually relies on the route that the third film will take. If the third film maintains the story of the Dark Knight, then Batman Triumphant may be in the running for the title of the third film. However, the rumor mill is buzzing with rumors regarding the third flick being an adaptation of Frank Millers masterpiece, the Dark Knight Returns, which is the narrative of a retired Batman returning to his crime battling ways 40 years after he relinquished his cape. In which case, the Dark Knight Returns would be an apt label that requires no changes.

Number two, the antagonists. Who will be the primary antagonist for the third film? This will be simpler to speculate. Only two primary antagonists from the Batman mythos remain, after Scarecrow has been killed, the Joker being arrested, and Two Face having (apparently) deceased. Riddler or the Penguin, whichever or both. Several websites have by now stated that Johnny Depp has presented himself to play the role of the Riddler. Several internet sites have also stated that Philip Seymour Hoffman is seriously being contemplated to portray the Penguin.

Number three, will there be a Robin? Despite the fact that the general atmosphere of the reboot doesnt seem to call for a Robin, a convincing take on a boy sidekick can never be excluded. If this is the path that will be taken, expect the Dick Grayson version the first Robin to be the one employed in the film.
