Edmonton Dermatologist: How To Lose Body Fat Try Coolshaping

Hi! I'm Edmonton Dermatologist, Doctor Barry Lycka, and this post is another one of a new series where I give you information about cosmetic surgery procedures, highlight cosmetic surgery tips and keep you informed of the newest and best procedures in cosmetic surgery today, and whats happening in the beauty world.

The reason for todays post is I am going to talk to you about another new cosmetic surgery procedure that is literally revolutionizing cosmetic surgery today. The reason why is most people ask me all the time, how do you lose body fat without exercise, without dieting and without trauma.

Well, there are only a couple of techniques which can do this.

1. lipo dissolve which I have been doing since 2003
2. another one is a procedure called ultrashape, and you will be able to watch another eposide of YourCosmeticDoctor dot tv to discover all about that
3. and the third is new to me and its called coolshaping. You will also hear it called coolsculpting

I had the pleasure recently of talking to Dr Charles Crutchfield of Minneapolis Minnesota. He is one of the worlds experts in this. Charles is a friend that I have known for a number of years and I have seen him at length adopt new procedure after new procedure - but what makes Charles unique is that he stays away from the cosmetic procedures that don't work and has a unique antenna for putting his finger on the pulse of those.

So this is the first new procedure that Charles has gotten involved with for a number of years and the reason why is that it is a procedure that is working really really well.

It is called coolshaping - made by a company called Zeltiq.

What makes this technique unique is that it freezes fat and the fat literally dissipates away. It was invented because a number of years ago people with popsicles would frequently put a popsicle on their cheek and many people would then develop dimples.

Well after a number of years people caught onto this and found that this might be a means of helping the body get a better shape without trauma. If you've ever been in a frostbite situation you know that frostbite is a very nasty thing especially when it damages the top layers of the skin. Well Zeltiq have found a way to freeze the deeper layers of the skin without traumatising the top layers of the skin. This makes a huge difference for people.

It is usually used on the abdomen and the flanks - those are the main indications for it and what the machine does is literally suck up the fat and put a cold freezing into that area - it draws the heat from that area and Charles has had some phenomenal results with this.

Its working in 8 or 9 out of every 10 people and it usually takes 1 to 2 treatments.

Well that's it for today. I'm Dr. Lycka. I'll talk to you soon.

Until then, please check out the website listed below for more advice and information on cosmetic surgery procedures.
