These days you don't need a special camera to create awesome panoramic photographs. With Photoshop CS using Photomerge makes the process quick and easy. Photomerge in Photoshop CS was created especially for panoramic photography. The process itself is really quite easy but the results of the merge will be depend on the layout and image source quality. The Photomerge feature permits the selection of images intended for automatic panoramic Photomerge and it also allows for manual arrangements. Since your final photo depends on the quality of the source images it is necessary to make note of some tips when shooting scenic photographs. These tips include: Use manual exposure when shooting pictures. Merging the pictures later on will be difficult if different exposures per shot are used. Try to keep the camera as steady as possible when shooting. If you can, use a tripod to steady the camera. Keep a long distance between the camera and the subject, especially when working with landscapes. Chances of parallax are greater when objects are too close to the camera.

Every eBay seller would like to attract customers and increase sales. Successful eBay sellers know that better product photos could make you more money, because your buyers will feel more comfortable buying items from you. But taking great product photos isn't always easy, read these quick tips to find out how to take great product photos for eBay. 1) Using a digital camera with fully automated shooting modes will make taking product photos much easier. It allows you to instantly preview, upload, and edit your photos with your computer. 2) Use a tripod to avoid blurred images which occur when you handhold a camera. 3) Use proper lighting. Some people find natural outdoor lighting the best, but never use direct lighting such as a flash. Flashes wash out colours, details, and create harsh shadows, especially when doing close-ups. Use soft, diffused lighting to avoid losing detail in your photo and create soft shadows. If you're a serious eBay seller consider buying a photo tent or light box to diffuse the light for you. Alternatively you can use lights and buy white plastic light covers, which will also create diffused light.

In earlier times, you took your snapshots with your trusty old Brownie, removed the film cartridge and dropped it off at the drug store for developing. After about a week, you picked up your prints. What you got was exactly what the film was exposed to. No cropping, no sharpening, brightness or contrast adjustments were available unless you had your own film processing and print studio. With the onset of digital photography, it has become possible for everyone to learn and perform successful photo editing. There exists a plethora of digital photography software that allow differing levels of image manipulation. With a decent digital camera, a computer with a quality printer, and one of the many versions of photo editing software, you can produce stunning photographs. You can crop for closer views of your intended subject, darken or lighten the exposure, adjust the contrast, sharpen the image, change it to black and white, sepia, or grayscale. Add a good scanner and you have the ability to edit your old standard photographs. That old faded photo of you as a child can be brought back to life with a few clicks of your mouse. With the right software, you can place objects from one photograph into another. Create a montage of any person containing their pictures from birth to present. That beautiful old Ford you took a picture of at the cruise-in brings back fond memories?

These tips for beginners address some of the basic challenges that you will encounter quickly as you delve into the sometimes perplexing realm of PhotoShop CS3. Here we go then. Create custom, project-specified workspaces. Each project that you endeavor will require a certain set of palettes. You will want to take advantage of the feature that lets you save them independent of one another. Here's how it's done: When you have the palettes for a given project lined up as you like them, choose Window> Workspace> Save Workspace. Assign a name to the particular workspace and then click Save.

Next, take the Saturation slider and slide it to the left until the skin color looks pretty good, or the best that you can get it without looking fake. Don't worry about the other parts of the picture right now. Just concentrate on the skin color. We will fix the background colors next. Once you are satisfied with your skin color, click OK to close out of the Hue/Saturation window, and you will see your new layer above your original picture. If you notice though, the adjustment that you made affected the entire image. To get that back restored to normal, click on the layer mask part of the new layer, and grab your brush tool. Make sure that your foreground color is set to black, and you have a large enough brush so that you are not brushing the background back a long time. Now, using black, brush in the parts of the photo that you want to restore back to normal. I usually brush in the whole picture except the skin areas that I wanted to fix. This gives me the most realistic look. You are now done with the Photoshop tutorial on how to fix skin color in a picture.

Screen test. Check your computer monitor and adjust it if you're not getting a good picture. Most Windows PCs are set up wrong. For a complete guide to adjusting the display, go to http://twcny.rr.com/technofile and type "adjust" (without quotes) in the search field. Edit your images in a sensible order. First, save a copy. Keep that copy safe by moving it to a separate folder. Next, crop the image. Crop the picture, then adjust the levels, also called "curves." Your software might do this automatically. Next, adjust the color and what we loosely call the "tint." Then get rid of noises and blemishes (in the picture, silly, not in your nephew's skin). Finally, save the image TWICE. Put the copy in a different folder, out of the way.

The next comparison of ease between the traditional vs. digital photography is how the picture is developed. The image on the memory stick can be downloaded onto software for easy viewing. In addition, the digital photo can be printed out or saved in a file within the computer. Making editing of your digital photos much easier as opposed to using traditional film. With a traditional camera the film needs to be chemically developed in order for the image to be visualized. This process not only takes time, but requires the added expense of utilizing a film developing service or purchase the chemicals needed to develop the film in an individual's own dark room.
