Eclipses are astronomical events that occur approximately every six months and affect you in many ways because your body is mostly comprised of water. When there is a Solar or Lunar eclipse you feel the gravitational pull.

As an energy worker and astrologer Im the first to declare that the planets do NOT make you do anything. We live in a co-operation with our Cosmos. When the planets make a move, you feel it. When you make a move, they show it. Mirror, mirror on the cosmic wall.

Sowhen a body of energy has an event, so do you. But because you're unique, no one person has the same experience. And lets be clearthe Sun and the Moon are not planets, but they are bodies of energy that affect us. Without the Sun, wed freeze. Without the Moon, wed have tremendous tsunamis as we tumbled out of orbit.

But how do the eclipses actually affect you? The energy of the Lunar Eclipse (in the air sign of Aquarius at 13 degrees) on August 5, 2009 is in play until September 10th or so.

Astrologically speaking, the closer the degree of the eclipse is (within 8 degrees) to your sun, moon, and/or rising sign in your natal chartOR the closer the degree of the eclipse to ANY of the planets in your astrological chart, the more the eclipse affects and effects your world.

The Lunar Eclipse is thought to be a real drag, a mournful experience and relates to the feminine or a loss. Well Ive gotta say thats not been my experience. I see the Lunar Eclipse as a way and means to uncover your unconscious behavior that stops you from moving forward. Were not living in the middle ages so lets not go Hollywood with this, my friend.

You may or may not experience a loss during either phase of the Solar or Lunar eclipse but its not a negative event.

Youve seen those science fiction movies where the character can tele-transport from one dimension to another or where a character goes from black and white to color, right? Pretend that during an eclipse phase, a movie of your life is being filmed and anything is possible. This is why it's so paramount to work with these magnetic influences AHEAD OF TIME by PLANNING.

The Lunar eclipse actually clears away the emotional or psychological debris or residue that no longer needs to be there so that the Solar eclipse can show you the door or vice versa.

During any eclipse phase, say to yourself, "Now its time to become aware. Let me pause and see how Im responding or reacting. What is LIFE showing me?" How you respond is more important vs. the actual event. Everything around you mirrors back what youve been thinking and what youve been feeling. THIS IS MANIFESTING.

So lets say youve been striving toward an increase in business with partners. Youre doing the best you can, communicating, negotiating, working together and then the Lunar Eclipse comes along and within 6 weeks the one partner you felt great about suddenly tells you hes retiring. What? Ohmygoshyoure thrown off of your axis. You made plans revolving around this person.

Okay, stop. Pause. Breathe. Things are not always what they seem. Especially during an eclipse phase. If youre consciously creating a healthy partnership then WHAT IS NOT HEALTHY is revealed by the Cosmos.

So you look at your plan and instead of feeling defeated you see the opportunity this phase holds for you. The Eclipses act as spotlights in your lifewhat works and what doesn't.

The Solar and Lunar eclipses show you the door and always leave you with a gift on the way out.

Sometimes the gift is not always perceived as positive. Because you say I just lost my job how is that a gift? Well if youve been focusing on creating something else and you wont let go of the other job, how can you make room? Please choose not looking at things as a positive or negative event. Look at whats most appropriate to what youre creating.

The energy of an eclipse begins a few days prior and continues through approximately 6 weeks--33 days of which are concentrated energy.

You create from all types of conscious and unconscious states. Be more present with your life. Be aware of how you make choices and the doors that open and close. You are working in tandem with this life and this is such a powerful time become consciousSee the eclipses as a moving Cosmic walkway that, if you step on it, can bring you to your goals that much quicker.
