1. Many people make drastic changes in their diets for weight loss, which may not really suit everybody. What you can do is avoid fried food and spicy food. Grill or boil whatever you eat. It may take time for you to adjust, but keep telling yourself the benefits of maintaining this habit.

2. If you're not hungry, your'e not eating. Eat small meals every few hours. If you're not starving your body will not crave for food, so there is less chance of gaining weight.

3. The health benefits of water are endless. Water cleanses the body and removes toxins while it hydrates your cells. It's also a natural diuretic. Fluid retention, or water weight, can result in extra pounds. However, drinking at least eight glasses of water a day can flush fluids from your body, taking that excess weight along. Additionally, reducing your sodium intake to less than 1,500 mg a day can combat water weight. If you take birth control pills or a prescription steroid--which may also result in fluid retention--talk to your doctor about a prescription diuretic.

4. Losing weight does not mean having to go hungry. There are lots of things you can eat. If your normal snacks consist of things like chips, crackers and pretzels it is going to be hard to lose weight. Try eating something more healthy like sunflower seeds, grapes, raisins, or carrots. These are all tasty snacks and do not have very many calories.

5. Easy ways to lose weight can also be managed with the help of a friend. It could be your neighbor or relative, this can make the whole routine a fun affair. Join a Yoga class or go for a walk with a friend. You can even meet new people and have more friends. The whole activity will seem like a friendly get-together rather than an over hyped exercise routine, which is visible at most gyms.

6. You really need to combine exercise with diet to lose weight quickly. Exercise does not have to be a grueling process at the gym. Something as simple as walking can be a good start. Take a walk around your neighborhood every night. Try and learn a new sport. Take up tennis. Even something like bowling is still better than sitting around the house. If its summertime try to go swimming or biking. These are all fun activities that should not feel like work.

7. Scale down red meat and pork. Grill or cook chicken, turkey or fish. Or better yet, become a vegetarian! Just a suggestion

8. If you desire something sweet, eat a piece of fruit or a cup of tea with soya milk and honey. It really works!
