Easy Rated Crawfish Recipes That Use Oil

Crawfish is believed to be handy kind of seafood. They can taste very good in different dishes. You can cook them through boiling, frying, stewing and many more. No matter which of these ways of cooking crawfish you will use, you are assured to be satisfied. Just make sure to cook it fresh and you will never regret of cooking it.

In fact, it has been proven true by many Southerners and other tourist who had the chance to visit the south. Southerners are always responsible of giving the right taste of crawfish but it is feasible for anyone to make crawfish recipe taste right. Learning to cook it the right way can start now by trying to fry the crawfish. Although, crawfish is usually cooked by boiling, frying would be a nice way to start cooking.

Fried Crawfish Tails

Ingredients
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 -teaspoon salt
1 White pepper
4 cups corn meal
1 -quart oil for frying
1 lb crawfish (shelled)
1/2 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

Direction
1. First thing you need to do is mix egg, milk, salt, cayenne pepper and white pepper until blended.

2. Add 1 cup corn meal and heat oil to 400 F

3. Put the peeled crawfish tails in mixture and mix until coated

4. In a separate container, place remaining corn meal

5. Roll coated crawfish tails into corn meal until coated

6. Carefully place crawfish tails into oil and fry until golden brown

7. Allow to drain on paper towels

8. Serve immediately


Fried Crawfish Recipe

Ingredients
10 whole crayfish
1 onion
1 small carrot
3 tablespoons butter
teaspoon Cajun
teaspoon salt
teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 cup dry white wine
1 teaspoon flour
parsley for garnish


Direction
1.Now that you have all ingredients you can hop the onions and slice the carrot thinly.

2.Heat the butter in a pan. Saute the onions until these have turned transparent. Put in the carrots.

3. Fry the crayfish on medium heat for at least three minutes and the shell turned reddish you can sprinkle spices (salt) in the pan.

4. Add the tomato paste and dry white wine. Cover the pan and allow it to simmer for 3 minutes.

5. Remove the crawfish from the sauce and arrange on plates.

6. Continue to simmer the remaining sauce in low heat.

7. Dissolve the flour thoroughly in cup of water. Carefully pour this in the sauce while continuously stirring to avoid forming lumps. This would help thicken the sauce.

8. Pour the sauce over the crawfish, then top with parsley as your garnishing.


Crawfish Boulettes Recipe

Ingredients
1 pound shelled crawfish tails or shrimp, cooked
1/4 cup chopped green onions
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 beaten egg
1/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs
cooking oil for deep fat frying

Direction
1.Chop into small pieces.

2.Toss with green onions and garlic.

3.Add egg, bread crumbs, milk, red pepper, and salt. Make sure to mix it well.

4.Shape mixture into balls, using about 1 tablespoon mixture for each and roll balls in bread crumbs.

5.In a heavy saucepan or deep fat fryer heat about 2 inches melted shortening or cooking oil to 375.

6.Fry balls in hot fat, a few at a time, for 30 to 60 seconds or just till golden.

7.Remove and drain on paper towels and keep warm in a 325 oven while frying remainder.

8.Best serve when hot.

Frying requires us to use oil but it does not tell us to live unhealthy. You can always choose to use corn oil and/or olive oil. Fried crawfish is for everyone and anyone who wants to eat a different seafood taste.
