Easily Manage Passwords And Ensure Identity Theft With These Programs

By:

I am constantly looking for ways to protect myself online. Whether it's the encrypted router, safety browser or add on toolbar - I always like to make sure I have whatever I need to be safe and so should you! Most of the products available now for online bill payment and identity theft as far as browser security goes is actually free. So you are really foolish for not trying them out! Just think, you and I could be going to the same sites and using the same form of payment for the same products.

Let's say a brand new MP3 player off of Apple using a credit card. And lo and behold I have this super safe toolbar that is specifically for secure pay and you? Have nothing. Suddenly next month you find that charges have been put on your card that you never even charged! Listen, just because we might shop on "brand name" sites like Best Buy or Apple, doesn't mean we are secure. In fact, a lot of the times, hackers will purposely hack into sites such as these because they know that we think we are safe.

Honestly, I would rather be overly-precautious than be out hundreds or thousands of dollars. Wouldn't you?!? Check out some of the following types of programs that can end up saving you from identity theft, amongst other problematic issues:

Secure Pay Toolbar -
These are some of the best programs you could get for your computer and your browser. The process is super simple and it could end up saving you from identity theft, but they also have some really cool options to spice up the program as well. Some of the things you could be looking at are things like secure pay, online bill payment, manage passwords, shopping assistant, eWallet, and fill form. I like the fill form option for all the sites I belong to because it allows me to press one single button and it will fill in all the necessary sections.

You can also find a lot of programs that will remember and manage passwords and other information such as user IDs and email addresses for log ins on websites. These programs have saved me a lot of time and are incredibly functional, but also convenient for all your Internet needs. Another great thing is that these are usually free. So you can end up saving yourself from a lot of painful situations and it doesn't cost one red cent to add these toolbars to your browser!

KidZui 0.7 -
Expand your kids online experience with KidZui, the Internet for Kids. KidZui is a FireFox add-on that with one click turns FireFox into a kid-safe environment with over a million kid-friendly websites, games, pictures, and YouTube videos. Real parents and teachers review content for KidZui so your kids can surf independently. Kids build avatars to express themselves online. They earn points for exploration and discovery. They can tag content and share it with parent-approved friends.

When locked down, KidZui prevents kids from closing the browser, downloading files, or opening other applications. This is a great way to let your kids independently explore on FireFox without worrying about them using the adult Internet, or accidentally deleting important files.

Ghostery 1.5.1 -
Find out how web sites are watching you across every page on the web with Ghostery. Ghostery alerts you when you visit a web site that has web bugs on it. Web bugs are hidden scripts that track your behavior and are used by the sites you visit to understand their own audience.

Obviously you should also have an upgraded version of Anti-Virus on your computer as well. I would suggest looking at McAfee and Norton. But one of my all-time favorites is AVG anti-virus. All three of these programs have been top-rated, but I find that AVG finds EVERYTHING. Whereas sometimes Norton won't find things, but AVG always does! Keep yourself updated with whatever upgrades your specific OS has as well. Before you know it, you are going to be safe from identity theft and secure to shop where and when you want online knowing that you are safe to enter in things like CC numbers and other financial information. Better to be safe than sorry!
