The late Princess Diana remark takes a tongue-in-cheek blow at one of the many commonly accepted messages that seek to paint having wealth in a negative light. The implication here is that having money will somehow make it more difficult for you to be happy then if you are poor. Now, granted, it is true that money cannot buy you happiness but being poor cannot buy you anything.

Do not allow your psyche to buy into negative images of wealth or of wealthy people as a default. Remember, having more money only makes you more of who you already are. It doesnt make you corrupt if you arent already that way deep down. It also doesnt make you evil or bad if you are not already evil or bad deep down. Robert Kiyosaki harps on this point in Rich Dad Poor Dad.

Even in Rich Dad Poor Dad, Robert Kiyosaki talks about how having money doesnt make someone more miserable, it just makes you more of what you already are in the first place. Happiness at any given moment in time generally starts with how you feel about yourself and your life, often independent of income. Happiness is what you make it. A lot of people say that money cant buy you happiness or money cant buy you everything. Thats true.

However, there are a few things that money can do. Money can build your dream home or help you pay off your mortgage. Money can pay off your parents mortgage or send your kids to any college that they can get into without loans. Money can pay off your debts, improve your health, improve your appearance and improve your wardrobe. Money can allow you to help your church and help people in need all around the world.

It can help you to give scholarships to the deserving students that dont have any other way to pay for college. It can help you put your kids through private school or pay for family vacations. Money can keep mom and dad out of a nursing home or at the very least a better one. It can transform an entire community or support a missions trip. Money can decrease your level of stress. Not bad, huh? Its very important to not be faked out by axioms and ideas that are aimed at people with a poverty mentality.

In our society there are many ideas that are marketed, mass marketed to people who are average wealth or who have a poverty mentality. You really have to make sure that youre not getting caught up in this because you play by different rules. Theres nothing wrong with a person being average and not having a wealth mentality, its simply choosing a different path.

You have to be clear about what you path is and you have to know that if youre going to be wealthy the biggest part of that is basically going in the opposite direction of where the crowd is going. Many of the popular saying like money cant buy you everything; it smacks of an undercurrent of hostility toward the kind of life that you want to build. So being able to reject these types of ideas will be very key to you being able to build the kind of success that you want.

So continue to build your dream, make your money and as you make it never apologize for having earned it. Anyone who really wants to have it could have done exactly what you did to achieve it. This is a key point in having a multi-million dollar mindset. I salute you and your success in advance.
