Early Church - The Primary Key To Fashioning A Strong And Healthy Church

I strongly feel that our long held thoughts about growing the Christian church are quite misguided. As Christian believers, we have consumed far too much time looking to find people's weaknesses, and far too little time on designing the kind of environment that would permit them to grow. If followers of Christ form the environment that allows individuals to flourish, God Almighty will create his church. The various gifts God the Father has given each individual will have a location to grow if they are cultivated in the proper soil.

In loads of ways, God's children are no different than the rest of God's handiwork. In an identical manner to a bush in the garden that supplies food, we have capability to bring forth fruit. And in precisely the same manner as the plant in the garden, we possess no control over how the Lord Jesus fashioned us in our mother's womb. What we unquestionably have a ton of control over though, is the soil we are willing to be planted in.

As children of the living God, we also have the power to influence what kind of soil, or environment, our brothers and sisters will reside in. We are fortunate to be the co-designers with our Heavenly Father of the church environment and the degree of it's health and wellbeing.

We regularly get caught up trying to preach people into superior behaviour, when the real solution lies in our ability to create the type of conditions for them to want to do better.

This is precisely why the simple church paradigm is so very effective in transforming people's lives. People are the primary focus of the gathering of the church, not the implementation of a variety of programs. Individuals have the ability to be heard and are able to decrease the feelings of loneliness that afflict such a large number of us in today's world. People are powerfully moved by the fact that other people are opening up their home to them, are welcoming them into their lives.

The amiable feelings people encounter from spending time in this sort of environment, helps to foster a better outlook regarding life. When people have better feelings about life, they are generally more willing to make positive changes that are beneficial not only for themselves, but the community they are a part of.

When we turn our chairs towards each other, we send a hopeful message that all humans urgently need to recieve on a consistent basis. It's vital to us to understand that we can make a difference, that we have signifigance and something to add to people's lives.

We need to be seen much less for our shortcomings and issues, and more for our eagerness to be of service to others. Our communities of faith ougth to be highlighting the inherent value of each Christian believer due to their redeemed relationship with their Heavenly Father. An essential key to building a strong house church culture, lies in our capacity to create a warm, loving environment for folks to grow in, not better programs.
