Dyshidrotic eczema is a skin condition that can affect many parts of the body, like the hands, fingers, arms and feet. In some cases, it has also been found on the face of those who are suffering from it. Certain symptoms are characteristic of the disease, the ones that most commonly shows up is a blistering rash on the skin which quickly turns uncomfortable due to a strong itching sensation. In certain cases, those blisters may also fill up with fluid. As with many other skin conditions, the severity of the disease will vary among individuals. There are those who will simply have a mild form of eczema, while some others will have severe breakouts that will significantly affect their quality of life.

Dyshidrotic eczema can also be referred to as dyshidrotic dermatitis. In medical terminology, the word dermatitis means "inflammation of the skin".

Dermatitis can affect any person, without regards to their age, gender, racial background or country of residence. For now, we do not currently know a definite answer to the question of what causes the disease, however many factors are currently suspected of increasing a person's likelihood of suffering from this skin condition.
