Members of Designer Way Vacation Club (DWVC) are currently being offered fantastic prices on a two week package holiday to Egypt for two including flights, accommodation and a cruise with excursions on full board basis and private transfers.

There are three options on the hotels included in the package:

The first is the Sofitel Karnak Hotel which would bring the package price to 1169.
The Sofitel Karnak Luxor is located alongside the river Nile at the northern side of the ancient City of Luxor, only 5 kilometres from the town centre, and 18 kilometres from the Karnak Complex.

Sofitel Karnak Luxor is a 5 star property, built in 1996 in traditional style. The hotel features 3 restaurants and 3 bars. Additionally, the Sofitel Karnak Luxor offers a large swimming pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, squash court and tennis court and is a short distance to a golf course.
The hotel features 351 spacious and elegantly decorated guest rooms. All the rooms are equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar, safe deposit box and a radio.
The hotel has 3 dining outlets serving Egyptian and International cuisine. The Carter bar is situated in the lobby next to the reception area, is decorated with paintings telling the history of the Carter researches and offers Arabic and international music sung by a duo every night.

The second option is the Sonesta St. George Hotel which would bring the package price to 1179.
The Sonesta St. George Hotel Luxor is a five-star hotel located on the East Bank of the Nile River, 7 km from Luxor International Airport and minutes away from Luxor Temple and the Luxor Museum.



Sonesta St. George Hotel is a modern, seven-storey building with a stucco faade, bay-shaped iron balconies and lower-level terrace overlooking the Nile River. The hotel offers a wide variety of dining outlets serving Italian, Japanese, Middle Eastern and international cuisine. There are also two bars on the premises and a cafeteria serving fresh pastries.
The hotel features 224 luxurious guestrooms equipped with satellite television, air-conditioning, electronic door locks, radio, hair dryer, mini-bar, direct-dial telephone and a safe deposit box.
The hotel offers a range of recreational facilities including an outdoor swimming pool with separate childrens section, fully equipped health and fitness centre, weekly activity program, aerobic classes, childrens activities, organised games and competitions.

The third option is the Sheraton Luxor Resort which would bring the package price to 1199.
The Sheraton Luxor Resort enjoys a most prominent location right on the banks of the Nile and within walking distance from the Luxor Temple. Ideally situated in the city centre and only ten minutes from Luxor airport, its distinct location makes it an ideal base from which to explore the magnificent treasures of Luxor city.

Spend your evenings in one of the beautifully appointed guest rooms overlooking the garden or the Nile River. From an array of delicious dining options to the outdoor heated pool and floodlit tennis courts, you'll always find something to do.
The hotel is built on 8 acres of gardens and features 290 impeccably decorated and well-appointed guestrooms. The in room facilities include air conditioning, satellite TV, mini bar, safe deposit box, alarm clock, hairdryer and direct dial telephone. Non smoking rooms are also available.
The hotel features 3 restaurants offering local, Italian and Indian cuisine. If you look for entertainment the Sukkareya Club and disco are open every day until late. There is also a lounge bar and a snack bar on the premises.

The cruise included in the package takes in a number of destinations as listed below:
The first day is in Luxor, embarkation before lunch with the afternoon being free at leisure with an overnight stay.
The second day, also in Luxor, takes in the Luxor Museum in the morning then a visit to the temple of Karnak and the temple of Luxor in the afternoon, again with an overnight stay in Luxor.
On the third day the ship crosses to the west bank in the morning where you will visit the Necropolis of Thebes, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Queen Hatshepust and the Colossi of Memnon. In the afternoon the ship sails to Edfu and overnight.
The fourth day takes in a visit to the temple of Horus in the morning then sails to Kom Ombo where there are visits to a temple shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris in the afternoon then sail to Aswan and overnight.
The fifth day takes in a view of the High Dam and the Temple of Philae in the morning, and the Elephantine Island by Felucca (by sail boat) and the Agha Khan Mausoleum in the afternoon. Overnight in Aswan.
The sixth day starts the return leg and gives you a free at leisure morning and a stop for view of Kom Ombo Temple in the afternoon. Overnight in Edfu.
On the seventh day the ship sails to Esna for a visit to the Temple of god Khnum in the morning then sails to Luxor in the afternoon and overnight.
The eighth day is disembarkation after breakfast.

There is the option of doing the cruise without a hotel stay available which is 935 for two, with full board basis and includes flights.
